Lindsey Keenan, PhD, LAT, ATC
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Lindsey Keenan, athletic trainer and associate professor at an NCAA Division II University, started off her career as an NCAA women’s lacrosse student-athlete. She found herself struggling to get through her day – but didn’t know it was depression. Her athletic trainer never screened her for mental health concerns; addressing mental health was not common practice. It wasn’t until years later, as an athletic trainer, Keenan wondered why mental health screening and PROs were so difficult to implement in practice.
After nearly a decade of paper and pencil mental health screening her athletes as their healthcare provider, and struggling with spreadsheets and unsecure GoogleDocs, Keenan had a lightbulb moment. She would never get other athletic trainers and schools on board with mental health screening because no one had the time to learn every mental health survey and PRO, nor how to interpret scores for that matter.
She collaborated with a Sport Psychologist and an Athletic Director (also both women!) for a solution.
Enter PROmotion.

Rachel Daltry, PsyD
Co-Founder
Dr. Rachel Daltry has been working in college counseling centers for over 10 years and is currently a psychologist and Associate Professor at an NCAA Division II University. During her training, she received specialized training in sport psychology and working with athletes.
She learned that while athletics can be a protective factor against mental health concerns, athletes are not immune to struggling with their mental health and are often at risk for significant difficulty. Directly working with athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers in addressing mental health in sport, she became aware of the importance of early detection and mental health screening to improve the likelihood that athletes connect with resources.
Rachel is thrilled to be a part of PROmotion’s journey and to collaborate with the athletic trainers at her institution using PROmotion to help identify mental health concerns in athletes and students.

Kellianne Milliner, MEd, MBA
Co-Founder
Kelli Milliner, Associate Director of Athletics at an NCAA Division II University, has been working in Athletics for close to 25 years. A former NCAA Division I softball player, Kelli began her career as a collegiate softball coach as well as an academic advisor to student-athletes. She progressed to working in NCAA Compliance and has grown to oversee departmental processes as well as student services and works directly with student-athletes.
She has seen first-hand how the pressures of being a student-athlete have grown over the years and has formed partnerships with others to provide the best support for student-athletes in her purview. She recognizes that there is an increase in accountability on the administrative side with respect to how the mental health of student-athletes is addressed.
Kelli is excited to share how PROmotion can meet the needs of both the student-athletes and the administration in a simple and effective way.
